Authentic Vintage Chinese Carved Soapstone Brush Pot with Bird Detail EUC

Vintage Asian carved Soapstone This came to me with a large collection of similar sculptures, some dated as far back as the 1910s, and others not dated. This sculpture is undated. This sculpture shows a deep brush pot with a bird on one side, flanked by intricately carved detail. Could be used as a brush pot, pen holder, toothpick holder, candle holder, etc. or simply as decor as-is. Beautiful detail. The color is sort of a mottled beige/tan throughout with some natural splashes of a reddish brown. Due to the nature of Soapstone there will be discrepancies in the texture, color, etc. with small fissures, scratches, and the like, but there is no damage to disclose. In excellent vintage condition all around. Measures approx 3.5" wide, 3" tall, 1.5" deep
