Avant-garde black top from Black Crane, made in Los Angeles. Womens XS.

I often end up using words like "preppy" or "cute" to describe the clothes I sell here, but not this one! This is real avant-garde design from Momo Suzuki and Alexander Yamaguchi, the Japanese-American founders of Black Crane. The focus is on texture, with soft, slightly slubby rayon/wool blend and the form, with asymmetrical hems and unfinished seams. It's pigment dyed a deep black but with subtle variations that don't really come out in the photos. Their clothes emphasize the connection between the material and the wearer through deliberate choice of fabrics and simple cuts. Very soft and breathable, this piece will add some drama to your everyday wear. Because of the deep black colour, it can be dressed up or used in a variety of different looks. This top was very hard to photograph because it is so black. I adjusted the colour a bit in a few of the photos so you could see some detail, but in those photos it looks a bit grey. In truth its dark black. Sorry about my poor photography skills.
