I'll be honest - these were some of my favourite tango shoes so they do have touch of wear, however, the design is bar none so much fun and the hairy pony used on the poppy red/orange is delightful! The body of the shoe is chocolate leather with cut-outs like you would see back in the 1930's. Wear with a velvet or satin design & it looks fabulous! What's more - if you can dance - people will notice your footwork . . . olé!

jojosan3 Please check the photos now for this listing to see the heel measurement. The angle of the shoe last is such that the 4” heel has a more relaxed, less aggressive look than some. And granted, when tango dancing people tend to be balanced on the ball of the foot. I hope that helps. Cheers
