Midcentury 1960s/70s Beauceware Four Piece Set of Snack Appetizer Serving Dishes - Brown Beauce #1539 Quebec Canadian Pottery Ceramic.
This listing is for four Beauce dishes in brown glaze. These dishes can be arranged in a wreath design for a lazy susan (approx. 13" diameter) and place a bowl in the middle for a dip, in a fun pinwheel or just use as individual bowls for snacks, appetizers, relishes or sauces.
These pottery pieces were made in Quebec by the iconic Beauce Pottery (Ceramique de Beauce)Inc.
Beauce Pottery was founded in Saint-Joseph-de-Beauce in the early 1940s as a means of providing employment and additional income for regional farmers. The Pottery was one of a series of initiatives created by the Quebec Government to strengthen the province’s economy and provide a better standard of living.
Measurements: Each dish is approx. 4" x 8" x 1.5" and has 5 feet on each dish to elevate.
No chips or cracks but note the slight imperfection on the bottom of one dish. This does not affect the look or function.
Please remember when purchasing vintage items that they have a history attached to them and often show wear, which I do my very best to disclose.
