Barbapapa’s debut is charmingly weird, but not quite as out-there as the rest of the family’s shape-shifting adventures. In this early edition, Barbapapa literally grows from the earth 🌱—like a giant, gelatinous, pink flower—and proceeds to surprise everyone. Classic Barbapapa. Of course, being the first book, he ends up in a zoo, which is a bit generic for such an imaginative character, but hey—at least he gets to imitate animals with his stretchy, gooey body! The book is in very good pre-loved condition, with just a little creasing and discoloration along the spine. No marks or torn pages, just a quirky start to a series that gets even weirder and more wonderful as it goes on.
