PVD stands for physical vapour deposition - it describes the process of gold plating. typical gold plating is electroplating and is less than 0.05 microns of gold, which is why they often tarnish. PVD is a vacuum coating that’s 10x thicker, so they will withstand water and everyday wear. hope that helps! ☺️
