Battling Elephants Batik on Cotton Indigo Blue & Yellow Vintage Folk Art

Wonderfully detailed vintage batik painting on woven cotton, depicting two elephants locked in combat. The artwork is rendered on cotton fabric in yellow, turquoise, blue and black dyes. Possibly Indonesian in origin - it certainly looks to be from the southeast asian part of the world. The edges are unfinished. The fabric was placed over a piece of board to photograph it for the listing. This listing is for the unmounted fabric only. Very good vintage condition. There are some marks in the dark border fabric, they may be able to be washed out or dry cleaned. The fabric measures 58cm by 41.5cm
