“Black Americana” VTG Aunt Jimima and Uncle Ben Mammy and Pappy Salt & Pepper

Rare VTG 20th Century “Black Americana” salt and pepper shakers. These figurines are often referred to as “Aunt Jimima and Uncle Ben”.Popular in the 1940’s/1950’s. The style of these were also known as “ Mammy and Pappy”, and “Cooks”. They were often sold as souvenirs, particularly in the 1950’s. This set has been well used. The female shaker has been broken and repaired sometime in its lifetime. The male has wear on its paint but no chips, cracks or breaks. Items are sold “as is”. Photos show damage with red arrows. Measures 4.75”tall
