One of the best synthetic jackets I've owned. A great layering piece or solid standalone jacket. This jacket can handle up to -5 degrees easily on its own. But super breathable while handling wind extremely well. Great piece to layer with well insulated hood. Comparable to Arcteryx Atom and can fold into side pocket for packing. Reason for selling is only because I grew out of it and need a size medium. Light Pilling on the inside throughout from wear and external general wear marks outside from use. The jacket has been freshly washed with nikwax and DWR Softshell treated for waterproofing. It feels great to wear, breathes better than its true down competitors, and looks the part in the frontcountry. The hood could use adjustment mechanisms but stays in place when over a helmet. Overall, the First Light Hoody is streamlined and technical, and a top performer in the test.
