Black Leather Dress Boots possibly Detlev Louis

Very supple black leather boots with leather lining. The laces are leather as well. There are no markings inside. The only mark is on the bottom of the sole and it looks like a TP or 1P. I searched for these and found nothing. Then I thought maybe it's upside down and then would be dL. Then I got some hits the first I found was an 18 year old with flashy sneakers. Too young to be manufacturing when these were purchased in the 90's. Then I found Detlev Louis, a manufacturer of motorcyclist's gear who just might be the maker of these fine boots. Of course I cannot be certain of that. Manufacturer aside, these boots are beautiful and finely crafted. I wore these with thick black wool socks sticking up above the top with opaque black stockings and my kilt. Also with jeans of course. They do have a few minor scuffs, to be expected with loved items. I might mention too that I wear clean wool socks everyday, winter and summer ( unless I am wearing sandals ;) ) and so, believe it or not, my feet and my shoes have never had any odor of any kind. The wool does an amazing job of keeping your feet comfortable and dry. My father was in the Air Force and he had black boots for formal military occasions. These boots from the moment I saw them, reminded me of my Dad's dress boots.
