Black Miz Mooz boots with buttons - Size 38

I will admit to having engaged in a bit of magical thinking when I bought these size 38 Miz Mooz boots for my size 39 feet. It was love at first sight of the buttons, the glossy (but not patent) rumpled leather and the comfy 2" heel height. But alas, my feet do not seem to be shrinking so off they must go. (The boots, not the feet.) They are in great condition as I only wore them once walking to my car and back, although there is a scuff mark on the left toebox from storage. Measurements are in photos.
