Specs: Blank Art Journal ---------------------- Size - 6x9 inches Cover - Cotton fabric covered medium weight acid-free chipboard faced with acid-free cardstock Paper - Pacon Art1st 90lb Watercolor, acid-free Pages - 40 pages, page counts include page fronts only Binding - beeswaxed cotton embroidery floss ---------------------- I make these hand stitched blank art journals using the ancient coptic stitch that was employed by the Egyptians and many cultures throughout history. The covers on these fabric journals are made from acid-free chipboard that is covered with premium cotton fabric and faced with acid-free cardstock. A beautiful paisley and floral motif lined in shimmering gold spills across the covers. The pages are 90 lb student grade Pacon Art1st watercolor paper and there 40 pages in each journal. This is a medium weight paper that is acid free with one side having a nice tooth and the other side being smooth. It is a paper that is excellent for dry drawing mediums such as graphite, colored pencil, or pen, and judicious application of wet media such as marker and watercolor. Heavy use as a watercolor paper is not recommended as you will have severe buckling of the paper. The stitching is done with beeswaxed embroidery floss. The watercolor journals lay flat when open allowing you to work across the entire width of the pages with ease.
