lagabbie @fleurdelis13 je suis américaine d’origine, mais j’ai passé mon enfance et adolécence en France. Et maintenant ça fais à peu près 37 ans que je vie ici. Heureusement j’ai ma soeur et quelque copains qui parlent français aussi. Mais j’oublie des mots et je perd mon accent...c’est triste.

luvlove2shop @fleurdelis13 I didn’t have a wonderful time in Toulon. Yes, it is a beautiful area of France. I lived with a family as an exchange student. They took me to Corsica and to Monaco. On a separate trip I went to mass at Norte Dame. It is devastating what happened. 😢 if you decide to sell some of your Fleur de lis items, please tell me. fleurdelis13 @luvlove2shop I am sorry to hear you didn’t have a good time in Toulon. My first trips to the States were exchange programs in high school. I was lucky I had a great time with the families I stayed with. My 11 year old nephew who lives in the suburbs of Paris is about to leave for one week visiting in Los Angeles and two weeks with a family in Minnesota. He’s super excited! I am not selling my fleur de lis. I am too attached to them. If I see any cute ones, I will let you know.

He doesn’t seem to mind so far. He has my number in case he needs something. This is the best way to learn the language, staying with a family who doesn’t speak your language. It forces you to practice & lean new vocabulary.

shabbychic45 Bonjour mon amie! Je suis allé en France et j’ai rester en France pendant vingt-trois jours. J’aime beaucoup tous les lieus que je suis allé. J’ai visité á Montpellier, Paris, Annecy, Strasbourg, et Lyon. J’ai même rencontré mon pro de français qui habiter près de Lyon. J’ai travaillé tous les jours d"apprendre le français, et j"apprends toujours au moins vingt ou trente minutes.

Nous allons au Montana dans les montagnes du Glacier National Park. Année dernière nous sommes allés à Maui au Hawaii. Peut-être la prochaine année nous pourrons retourner en France.

C’est bien que tu pratiques ton français et que tu continues à apprendre. Ma fille utilise Duolingo pour garder ses connaissances. Nous venons de rentrer de France. Nous avons passé deux semaines chez mes parents et avons bien profité de quelques visites à Paris. Passe un bon week-end !

shabbychic45 @fleurdelis13 Je suis sûre que ma grammaire n’est pas toujours correctement, mais c’est vraiment mieux qu’avant. Quand je réfléchis en France elle me manque beaucoup. Le temps je suis passé en France était le plus meilleur. La nourriture et les bâtiments sont très formidables! Le métro est énorme, mais c’est difficile d’échanger de trains quand les valises sont trop lourdes! Pas des escaliers mécanique, pas de ascenseurs! Quel horreur pour les américains!

shabbychic45 @fleurdelis13 Et pas des ascenseurs dans les immeubles! Ma fille et moi avons utilisé Airbnb et on restait dans les appartements généralement sur le quatrième ou cinquième étage. C’était dur de monter les escaliers, mais ça valait la peine d’être s’immerger dans la culture française.

shabbychic45 @fleurdelis13 Mais mon mari et moi, nous avons séjourné dans les beaux petits hôtels de charme, à La Place de la Comédie à Montpellier et dans le quartier de Montmartre. J’ai les aimè tous les deux. Mais j’adorais celui à Paris . Les chambres étaient petites mais très charmantes. Les ouvriers étaient magnifiques et très gentilles et les petits déjeuners sont plein du café au lait chaud avec beaucoup de croissants et pains au chocolat!

L’architecture des immeubles, les brasseries qui peut trouver partout, la culture et les gens; il n’y aura jamais les mots qui pourraient décrire mes sentiments pour la France. Ce que je préférais le plus était de parler avec les gens et vraiment m’immerger dans la culture et la langue. J’ai hâte de revenir !

shabbychic45 Je voudrais aller au Mont Saint Michel, La région Provence de voir toute la belle lavande et Marseille que j’entends c’est une très jolie ville au bord la mer. J’espère que j’ai l’opportunité d’amener ma mère de voir La Tour Eiffel. Mais elle a quatre-vingt-y-un alors je ne pourrais pas avoir cet opportunité, mais peut-être.

shabbychic45 Comment vas-tu Nathalie ! Cela fait longtemps que nous n’avons pas parlé. Je suis allée en France il y a quatre ans et je retourne en France cet été. Nous prévoyons de voyager à Strasbourg . Mon fils postule à deux postes à Paris dans le domaine de l’informatique quantique. Ce sera tellement cool pour lui de travailler à Paris ! Je viendrais souvent lui rendre visite ! Bonne nuit. Il est très très tard maintenant, mais je voulais lui dire « Salut » !

shabbychic45 @fleurdelis13 c’est bon d’avoir tes nouvelles! J’aimerais aimé le goût du vin, mais non, malheureusement! Il y a beaucoup des beaux“vineyards et wineries” en France. C’est dommage ! Et je n’aime pas le fromage non plus. Mon mari dit que je mange comme un enfant pas de sauver, très fade et ennuyeux. Comment je deviendrais une bonne française si je n’aime pas ni du vin ni du fromage? Bonne journée mon amie !
