Book of Kells Celtic Scarf

Excellent-New condition 26” square This scarf is inspired by the Book of Kells, an illuminated manuscript Gospel book dating back to around 800 AD. It is a polyester scarf with a design featuring Celtic knotwork and other motifs from the Book of Kells. The scarf is primarily off-white with a green border and accents of red, purple, and teal in the design. The Book of Kells is a masterpiece of medieval art and an important cultural treasure. It is believed to have been created around 800 AD and is currently housed at Trinity College Dublin. The book contains the four Gospels of the New Testament, along with other texts and tables. The intricate illustrations and ornate designs in the Book of Kells are considered to be some of the finest examples of Insular art.
