Borske Sklo Glassworks Czech MCM Green & Gold Striped Decanter Set with Glasses

Borske Sklo, originally named Borske Sklarny National Corporation, was founded in 1948, in the Novy Bor region of the Czech Republic (Czechoslovakia at the time), and incorporated all the glassworks in the area. In 1953 the company merged with Borocrystal and Umelecke Sklo to form Borske Sklo National Corporation. The distinct color and bold gold stripes are trademarks of their decanters. This beautiful vintage piece would look amazing on any mid-century bar. Of course I do my best to inspect each piece but it’s always possible something was missed. ——I was able to find a 5mm long small scratch in the gold of one glass and a small flea-sized dot in the gold of the decanter. Attempts at photos were made but these are SHINY. ——The biggest flaw is that, as you can see, there is a chip of about 3x2cm right next to the top of the handle. It’s difficult to see given the design and pieces that are three quarters of a century old may have some flaws! Overall, this set is in excellent condition and the flaws aren’t noticeable and don’t impact the overall look of the set or use.
