Bottega Veneta burgundy crocodile stamped leather platform heels, EU40.5 EUC

Bottega Veneta is best known for their skill with intrecciato woven leather in their luxury bags and shoes, which apparently is a highly skilled, laborious process that requires standing for 10 hours. Comparable to performing a difficult surgery, which might also explain the astronomical retail prices. Shoes & bags from Bottega Veneta are right up there in that stratospheric range with Gucci and Louis Vuitton. These shoes don't feature any intrecciato, but they are rocking some very exotic leather (another thing BV is known for). I'm not 100% certain, but I'm guessing maybe crocodile? This pair dates from pre-2018, which is when the latest BV designs with the square toes went viral and immediately became the most copied shoes of all time. This pair is a relatively restrained design, apart from the exotic leather & massively tall heels & platforms, but they're still comfortable for walking. Unlike most platforms, these have a bit of flex built into the sole. What I love the most about this design is the sense of proportion. They look stunning on the feet, very feminine but the heel is thick enough to provide stability. Size 40.5, which fits my size 9.5 feet perfectly. There are velcro closures at the ankle instead of annoying tiny buckles. This pair has been resoled, but apart from that and a couple of minor flaws on the sides of the platforms, they don't show any other wear or damage.
