I joke and tell people today had I known I would have taken better care of myself!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Honestly it's just a rare decent photo. Probably because I was having a relaxing morning! LOL!!!!! But truthfully I look older in person. Up close you can see the wrinkles! LOL!!!!! And I do have to give a ton of credit to essential oils and a raw vegan diet. Best thing I ever did for myself!!!! thewhitelotus In the meantime you can substitute. Do you have any oils now? If so save your used dryer sheets, or use a kleenex or cotton-ball, and put one to two drops on it and insert it between your pillow and pillowcase. You can change it up to any oil or blend needed... whether for sleep aide, breathing, headache, etc. Just make sure you order from a reputable company. You can just drop one to two drops directly on your pillowcase too, but if you don't enjoy the smell you'll have to change your linens. LOL!!!!! 😘 @alise28

For some reason, all of a sudden, posh wouldn't let me write any comments at all. When I would try to leave a comment, it would say that there was an error in the comment. That meant a lot to me, b/c I know how much she hates to clean! lol And I've already worn my new necklace out & about! Btw, I've been meaning to ask you about why you started eating raw/vegan foods. I'm always interested in food stories as I got sick a couple of years ago, and had to totally change the way I eat.

Started out as a semi-vegan as a child... oddball out in my family... because of so many health issues... then traversed in and out of it as I grew older but never consumed red meat period. Reflux/GERD like nearly everyone else on the planet and because I have a very slow digestive system was told I would be on 5 prescription meds for the rest of my life. That went over big... NOT!!!! thewhitelotus I switched to a raw food diet. Doctor hated me after that. LOL!!! Last words out of his mouth were: "You will be back!" That was about 7 or 8 years ago! Been thriving every since. Not to say I haven't dealt with multiple health issues along the way. I have! But every single solitary case has been self resolved.

thewhitelotus I stayed on the raw diet for 1 year straight, then realized it was making things very difficult for socializing. Not because of me, but because other people find it impossible to fix dinner for a raw foodist. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!! @lucky7bohogirl

thewhitelotus The biggest hurdle I've had to deal with is going blind. I'm not, I hope, but that is my most amazing path to date. Was diagnosed with MacTel-2 (a disease of the macular) two years ago, and told I would probably wake up one morning and be blind. I had already lost the ability to see faces from my right eye. The left had not yet been affected but showed up three weeks ago. Not to worry! All is well! @lucky7bohogirl

I used a long list of amazing oils, gobbled high quality vitamins/minerals & amino acids, drank Kombucha by the gallon, grew my own wheatgrass and made wheatgrass eye washes and stayed on a strict vegan diet and within 2 short (felt long to me) months was completed cured.@lucky7bohogirl

thewhitelotus I'm doing super well mentally and hanging in there with totally positive thoughts regarding my eye issues. I have absolutely no doubt I will conquer this. Treatment is intense and my eyes get super tired from being bombarded all day but it's working so I will keep at it until I'm good as new. thewhitelotus Lol, you're making it too hard on yourself. Start small and work your way up. Pick the top issue and start there. Or just buy a blend already designed to target that problem. lucky7bohogirl So, that's crazy insane that you healed yourself within 2 months. Not, crazy like I don't believe you...I've heard other amazing stories like this & experienced some of my own little miracles, but it still always amazes me how many times we can use food/all natural ways of healing over loading up on meds and get just as good or better results.

I thought I was eating well for the last 12 years or so when I started eating organic, eating mostly whole foods, and I even started sprouting wheat berries to make my own flour. Then, about 3 years ago, I got really sick. My immune system crashed, I got every cold/flu out there, had no energy at all to make it outside my house, and had pinching feelings & tingling feelings under my armpits & across my chest.

lucky7bohogirl I went to the emergency center where they treated me for shingles, which didn't help. I went to a bunch of doctors who had no idea what was wrong with me ~my blood work came back pretty much fine so they told me just to go home & relax, don't make any food changes, eat what I always do, let my body adjust, etc.

lucky7bohogirl I finally found this holistic doctor online whose office is about an hour from me. He believes in treating the whole body to bring it into wellness, not just treating the symptoms. He put me on a paleo diet (I know meat is directly opposite of what you do), but it worked for me. I think the biggest thing that made a difference was cutting out dairy & gluten.

lucky7bohogirl Basically, I can only eat fruits, veggies, meat, nuts & seeds. The food I was eating before caused an immune reaction in me where my body thought that the food I was eating was a foreign invasion like a disease & it went into attack mode. Once I changed my eating, all of my symptoms disappeared within a month. I was seriously sick for months & had no idea what was wrong with me & was scared crazy, so I am religious about sticking with this way of eating.

lucky7bohogirl I had done the 80/20 rule (like you are doing) for awhile but at the time I was also eating grains, which my body had a problem with. I think I do about 70/30 right now. I would love to do more raw. I have a ton of raw & green smoothie cookbooks, which I need to get back into. I kind of got into a food rut & eat a lot of the same things day after day. But, you have encouraged me to dig those babies out of my cupboard & start adding some new recipes in there. :)

thewhitelotus So on to the oils! 😂😂😂 I am a research fanatic!!! I spent enormous hours doing research online. When I was told there was no treatment I created one. My list was very long. I studied every oil useful to the retina, the macular, adding moisture to the eyes, lifting a sagging eyelid (my left eyelid had started to droop) and general health of the eye. And I still use all of these oils DAILY. BTW, my mother was totally blind by age 70. @lucky7bohogirl

thewhitelotus I do these oils all day long because of the MacTel 2. Once I've resolved this problem I will do them two to three times per day, and a weekly treatment, rather than daily, of eye drops and wheatgrass eye washes. Oils used. Frankincense, Sandalwood, Lavender, Lemongrass, Cypress, Clary Sage, Helichrysum, Myrrh and Clove. Now I use them neat (straight) but some if these oils are habanero hot, so I recommend diluting with fractionated coconut oil. @lucky7bohogirl

thewhitelotus Problem... Rose & Helichrysum Italicum are EXPENSIVE. Frankincense and Sandalwood right behind. thewhitelotus Raw unrefined coconut oil is the only oil I consume daily. I put it in everything. It is the only facial cleanser I use. I eat it, I wear it, I put it all over my body and in my hair, I use it for homemade toothpaste and deodorant, and I feed it to my cat (Squeaky) to keep his coat shiny. He is a handsome stud!!!!!! thewhitelotus Other than coconut oil my next favorite is Organic Black Cumin Seed oil and Organic Castor Oil. Black Cumin is great in my bath, but admit I use many different organic oils for bath time, and castor oil is wonderful for your eyelashes and brow. Use a small amount nightly before bed. It makes your eyelid feel heavy which helps with sleep and absorbs over night. Extremely nourishing for your eyelashes!!!! @lucky7bohogirl

My dad was diagnosed (out of the blue) with a rare form of cancer about 4-5 years ago, and my sister and I made a program for him, with supplements and raw foods/juicing that actually healed his cancer.

mcjayne @rawfudi she told hubby to be sure to stick fridge with high fat high calorie yogurt (I get the non gmo/organic superfood one at whole foods) and mix fruit and my raw granola but he also stocks it with puddings, organic breads, high fat Greek yogurt (my dessert literally) and bananas...some days it's all I can do to gag a bandana down so I do the smoothie route with raw greens.

Believe it or not, I'm not a big dessert-eater either, but I do make a lot of it. 😂😂 As a raw & vegan foodie I can eat dessert for any meal because every ingredient is from the plant world. You might find those desserts more to your liking because they are not sicky-sweet like traditional desserts. Making them appealing to the eye helps too, and has won over many a non-vegan friend. 😂😂

I was able to get word that our b&b appears to have suffered only minor damage, but still need to remove trees to fully access all units to know for sure. Glad you are home resting. We got power back here in Winter Park late Sunday afternoon so we are getting back up and running here.

I posted those so I could show that vegans & raw foodies do not eat boring foods like so many think. I love creating colorful foods, and love photographing it even more. My favorite all time photo is the hot tea and cookies photo used for introducing new items to my closet. I've taken hundreds if not thousands of food phtotos and it is my all time favorite.
