Brachiopod Fossils

Great little display specimen measuring 6”x7” at the longest points. The particular specimen comes from central Newfoundland and would make a nice conversation piece or display item. Brachiopod fossils are the remains of an ancient group of organisms that once dominated the world's oceans. They are often well-preserved and abundant, and are considered to be some of the best index fossils for dating and correlating geological time.
