3 skeins of American Rambouillet wool from Brooklyn Tweed. This is "Vale", a lace weight, plied wool with a bouncy, slightly toothy hand. The colourway is called "Thaw" and it is off-white, shading into very pale gray. I have included a screenshot of the yarn's Ravelry page for more information. The manufacturer has a story to tell.
There are 3 skeins here. They have been wound into cakes and all three have their ball bands tucked inside the cake. I knit up a small swatch with the yarn held doubled, so I could estimate gauge and properties. I didn't block the swatch or cut the yarn, and you can easily unravel it if you wish.
Each skein is 50 grams and 411 metres, for a total of 150g and approximately 1240 metres. My intention was to ply this with a laceweight mohair for a sweater, and there is enough here for that purpose. Or use it doubled to approximate a light dk weight and you will still have enough for a cropped, sleeveless or short sleeved sweater or vest, depending on the size and pattern chosen. It would also make an exquisite lace wedding shawl or christening blanket.
I have tried my best to capture the colour, but cameras, screens and eyes all vary and this may look lighter or darker to you in person.
This yarn is discontinued and unavailable in Canada or on the Brooklyn Tweed website
