Bucolic Church Garden Oil Painting Signed by Artist Danish Village Summer

An original painting, signed by Copi PM Arnold. The scene is a garden in full bloom, with a church and cottage in the background and a couple nestled on a bench. The architecture of the church with whitewashed walls and stepped gables is particular to Denmark. It may be a copy or study of another piece. There were grid lines drawn on the canvas under the painting that are visible in spots. Good vintage condition. There is some discoloration to the varnish, some spots where the paint is a bit cracked and some spots of dirt. I dusted the surface but I am not an expert in cleaning old paintings so I did not want to touch it too much and have left it as is. I believe it was painted sometime in the mid century era (1940-70) but I cannot date it more confidently than that. 45cm × 65cm
