Elegant & artistic: well proportioned & complementary red &green beads. Golden beads bring light to it. Casual or formal depending on how you accessorize it. Versatile:victorian era interpretation of the traditional Xmas red and green. Wear can be extended to all 4 seasons! Will never go out of fashion. Diversity of styles: wear one or two; OR with strings twisted to itself /themselves, or not; OR w/the single stringed part knotted to itself make it/them shorter. Well balanced style: beads weight like plastic so light for the neck. Does not look like plastic but probably plastic of high quality as it was expensive to buy. Interesting variety of shapes & sizes: mainly round w/ a few oval & a flattened globe. The tan & cream macrame strings around & between beads of different shapes & colours create movement & contrast between the dark & the shiny gold beads. Beads, assembled w/oxidized gold coloured chain, spread irregularly & separated by bare strings of various lengths. Purchased in early 1990’s in Paris: it reminded me of some costume jewelry made by Yves St Laurent. Conditions: EUC. Some gold beads w/min tarnish & scratches (saw only on close inspection).
