Earlier designs often featured plain, high-quality horn or plastic buttons without branding. Engraved buttons became more common in later collections, but the absence of branding on the buttons alone isn’t a reliable way to determine authenticity. Other details like fabric, stitching, lining, and labels are far more telling when verifying a genuine Burberry coat
