Burmese Lacquered Nesting Boxes with Lids Red Black and Gold Ornate Floral

Beautiful Burmese set of lacquered nesting boxes, painted with intricate floral and geometric patters in red, black and gold. The look to be made of reeds or grass and coated in lacquer. They are lightweight and compact when stored together. Lovely and functional decor, perfect for storing trinkets and small items on a desk, vanity or console. Good vintage condition. There are some chips and cracks in the lacquer, and when the small box is stored inside the larger the lid of the larger doesn't fit quite flush. The larger box is 6" in diameter by 3.5" tall. The smaller box is 5" in diameter by 3 1/4" tall.
