CANDLEWICK CORNFLOWER HEART

This item is a vintage heart-shaped glass candy dish in the 'Candlewick' pattern. 'Candlewick' was one of the Imperial Glass Company's most enduring patterns, produced from the mid 1930's until the 1970's, and its clean, elegant lines still fit beautifully on a contemporary table. The floral cutting on the sides is the 'Cornflower' pattern from the W.J. Hughes Company, an iconic Canadian firm that used some of the finest American glass products for its Cornflower Crystal during more than seventy years of operation, and Imperial's 'Candlewick' was one of their favorites. The heart-shaped candy dish is approximately 5 inches across, and is in excellent condition, without cracks, chips, scratches, clouding, or any other damage or defect. Just beautiful!
