CANDLEWICK 'OLYMPIA' GLASS PLATTER

This item is a vintage clear glass round serving platter in the elegant 'Candlewick' pattern from Imperial Glass. The design, with its decorative glass balls, was named after a style of colonial needlework, and was Imperial's most popular pattern, remaining in production from its introduction in 1937 until the firm closed in 1984. In this incarnation the design has the added enhancement of the 'Olympia' floral cutting. The platter measures thirteen inches in diameter, and is in excellent condition, without cracks, chips, scratches, clouding, or other damage or defect. (And it is far more handsome than it looks in our truly dreadful photography!)
