Hi @rebeccastecks, the bottom of the crewneck has a band of thicken material. It is not elastic. When you put the crewneck on normal the bottom isn't as baggy as the rest (comes in a little), but it also isn't an elastic band. When I would wear this crewneck, I liked to fold the bottom band in. When I did this the crewneck would stay folded because of the band and kinda gave the illusion of a band bringing it in. I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions:)
