@foresttreasures LOL thanks for saying so. She’s her little puppy that we got after my brother passed away suddenly from cancer. And even before I knew her name I knew I wanted her and her name turned out to be brownie that was also my brothers teddy bears name when he was little. So what are the chances of that I say he sent her to us. And the other doggie in the pictures is a 12-year-old Jack Russell that I fostered.

@kellyandlarry absolutely please hold it for me and my trip ended up being several days with my mother-in-law in the hospital. I mean my exmother-in-law. We’re still very close and she is still my daughter’s grandmother. I took her on last Wednesday for a colonoscopy which turned into a complete disaster. After following the ambulance to emergency she was finally released or discharged so they say on Friday.

They lacerated her spleen and caused a Hema Toma. That in turn causes severe severe pain so needless to say I couldn’t wait to get home I know that sounds terrible. Thank you for holding the hooded sweatshirt I guess you would call it. My daughter is always cold and She usually snuggles under the electric sherpie I bought her, so I figured she could a lot of use out the soft and cuddly sweater.

@resale4you I can’t even describe how painful and Dehabilitating it is. They usually come on one side of my face-it starts in my teeth and feels like a hot poker coming out of my eye. What brings them on for me is-extreme heat especially beating down on my head or getting overheated from laying under a comforter during a nap or rest, laying my head down flat at night..only on one pillow and any stress either emotionally or physically..especially around the neck, shoulder and arm areas.

@resale4you There are nerves that run from the hand..up the arm..around the shoulder and up the neck to the skull area and around the ears to the brain. I actually kept my neurologist that I first started going to in Virginia. There are new developments in maintenance and medication. You 1st need to secure a good neurologist-one that listens to your sons actual concerns and isn’t just throwing medication at him.

@resale4you Everyone is different and what medication works for me may not work for him. I previously had a neurologist who used me as a guinea pig and had me on 6 different anti seizure medicines which made me feel like a zombie and beyond tired all the time. When I feel one coming on , my husband gets an ice pack for my forehead, whatever side of the face it’s on and the back of my neck to cool me down.

@resale4you My current neurologist has prescribed Topimax, sumatriptan shots and nasal medication made especially for migraines. The Topimax doesn’t agree with me and gives me a headache so I administer the shots to myself in either leg/thigh area. I’m already taking Gabapentin and Duloxatine for nerve damage in my RS arm. The shots are painful but effective-they take about 20 seconds to alleviate the searing pain but I’m wiped out after.

I’m sorry, I think you have to start with your primary care physician. If they’ve had experience with treating migraines then they can prescribe medication as well.
Sorry about the book but I feel sorry for any migraine sufferers. Oh also a change in barometric pressure also is a trigger.

You mentioned having neuro doc in VA. May I ask name? Our PCP recommended doc but is since having second thoughts b/c of no relief and neuro won’t provide work excuse notes. Receptionist said because quote ‘Dr. Cuebas didn’t take your son out of work.’ Gotta love living in today’s legalistic world! Son has appt w/neuro today. Hubby and I are on vacay so we will be in touch with him later today. Neuro thinks he may have both headaches and migraines; ‘rare especially for males’.

I’m guessing it is rare b/c he lacks female ever-fluctuating hormones. His usually come on ~5 am and he describes them as feeling like there is a knife jabbing him in left eye; similar to your description. He has missed 3 months of work. We’re pretty certain he still has job only b/c church friend got him position. You are 3rd person to mention Topamax helping them. I was actually was on it for fibromyalgia at one point. Son has never been put on it.

Hi Kate, Thank you for your interest in my closet. To answer your questions: I am 5’4” too, and I tried it on & it comes to exactly hip height & perfect to reach in to grab something. The cross-body strap that goes with the purse is 40” long, giving you 20” on each side across the body. - (next post)

@kmfarrell yes LI all over Nassau some Suffolk county, Great Neck, Lynbrook, Patchoque, also Queens the older folk who immigrated in 1920s, I never got much genealogy done-I met a John F at Fire Island one summer, older he DID genealogy, found we WERE cousins but before internet early 90s so we didn’t keep in touch😢. Wow! I know of Caledonia. Used to go upstate summers. Hope your parents are ok my Mom is 76 now I understand.🙏💜
