platinummermaid @moorehair2 I understand completely. I have 4 little boys and an angel daughter in heaven. My 13 yr old son Matty has aspergers. He is such a sweet child but the social isolation & misunderstandings are very hard to watch. Matty was originally diagnosed with high functioning autism. How old is your little boy now? My 10yr old gage Beat brain cancer (astrocytoma left cerebellum) when he was 2. He was diagnosed at 18 months old. It has been a battle long before lumpy came to town lol

platinummermaid @moorehair2 remember you are strong! There is strength inside you other women only dream to have. Your little boy may be a captive of autism but you are the key to setting him free. Obviously there is no cure but love is powerful and every moment with him brings you two closer and helps him cope with an outside world that may not see the treasure the great treasure he is inside! Family can be hard, trust me. But have faith, you can make it through anything!!

moorehair2 @platinummermaid information. Your so right about everything you said and you don't even know me. My child is 5 sometimes I wonder if it's Aspergers he has although he struggles with writing and remembering some things but I feel he can learn anything there's things he do remember that just blow my mind

platinummermaid @moorehair2 I am so sorry for what you are enduring, remember all of these struggles are temporary. Autistic and aspergers children tend to be very intelligent with excellent recall. They often struggle in a traditional classroom because they information being taught is often beneath their level of understanding. Instead of teachers realizing these kids are incredibly smart, they get labeled as deficient in learning capability.

platinummermaid @moorehair2 it sounds like your little boy is very bright! Find a head start program if he is not in regular kindergarten yet. That program will be free to you and him, transportation should also be free! If he is in traditional school get him an IEP immediately! That forces the school to provide your son with the services he needs to be successful! Matty had an IEP & it helped him so much! He is a straight A student now. I will help you find resources if needed. Don't stress, you are not alone!

moorehair2 @platinummermaid he is brilliant but he is not reading yet and doesn't seem to understand the concept of sounding out the words and why he's doing that ( this is just what I see although his teacher said looks like he will be reading before school is out ( conf was last week they said nothing but great things about my ashton) they said he's amazing and he's doing well but I don't see it with his handwriting ( I put him back in Pre school because I didn't feel he was ready for kindergarten

moorehair2 @platinummermaid I took him out of public school and put him at The university ( they have a program for children with learning and communication disorders ( we did that for a year) it helped a little then I put him in a private school for children with learning differences cuz public school said he only had a speech problem when the doctor said otherwise I seen otherwise ( I did not have patience for public school so I didn't stop till I found grants that would help pay for public Svhool

moorehair2 @kobal89 this is the other half of what I was saying ...........The hardest job for parents is money .........to try to make money just to be able to get by that dont even include all the money it takes for our kids 😥. I use to make 6 figures. Now my life is my child🌺👍🏾..
