Canadian Indigenous-Made Purse

Received this as a gift in the early 2000s and has mostly been in storage! Used a couple of times. Unfortunately one of the front ties has become detached as pictured. It could be quite easily repaired (sewn inside or even hot glue). This is definitely made of animal leather, I’m assuming it’s cow leather, but there are no tags to confirm. The material is the softest leather I’ve ever felt! The purse is beautifully made. I just never use it. Please see photos for condition and more detail.
