The Canadian Provost Corps WW2 was formed in 1940 and was involved in the Dieppe Raid, the Italian Campaign and operations in Northwest Europe after the Normandy Landings. From 1942 the CPC oversaw Canadian intelligence units. In 1968 it merged with police units from the Royal Canadian Navy and the Royal Canadian Air Force to form the Security and Intelligence Branch. Certainly a rare piece of history.
This is a pre-owned Canadian Provost Corps cap badge. It features a lion standing atop a crown, with a banner reading "CANADIAN PROVOST CORPS" below. The badge is made of a gold-toned metal. The badge shows signs of wear, including some discoloration and minor scratches. The dimensions are approximately 2.25 inches in height and 2.0 inches in width. The back has two pins for attachment.
