Canadian Silver Tone Crowned Beaver Maple Leaf Helmet Hat Cap Badge

Collectible Canadian silver tone crowned beaver helmet/hat/cap badge. The history and use of this specific badge are unknown. Caps are the standard headress with specific badges for specialized positions. Upon researching, this badge resembles the obsolete City of Toronto coat of arms. On this badge the beaver is part of the casting, as compared with the more expensive hat badges with the Beaver attached after the maple leaf is die struck. The 2 part badge allows for more detail than the fused hat badge. After Queen Elizabeth was crowned with a Regina Crown the Kings Crown became obsolete. Most Police Forces changed to other styles and security companies started to use the beaver with the Queen's crown. Great condition.
