It is time to part ways with my beautiful Canon camera which I am only the second owner of.
The AV-1 is an 80s 35 mm film SLR in the famous A-series from Canon.
If you buy it, make sure to watch plenty of reviews & how-to videos to learn how to operate the camera. You can see some shots I took with it.
It has a built-in Aperture Priority mode -> selecting the aperture, the camera chooses the shutter speed accordingly.
No Manual mode, select the desired aperture and the camera shows the speed with a needle inside the viewfinder. It is a very straightforward system and is easy to learn. Select the aperture you want, and press halfway to visualize the shutter speed given. If satisfied, depress the shutter.
Features are:
Threaded shutter for cable release if someone wants to connect one
Bright viewfinder with the shutter speed scale shown to the right
Electronically controlled shutter (the shutter will not work unless batteries are inserted)
Max shutter speed of 1/1000 sec
Min shutter speed of 2 sec
ISO dial 25 to 1600
Takes 1x4LR44 batteries (readily available) Last forever, just make sure to turn the camera OFF (LOCK)
Bulb mode
Self-timer

1x batteries
