Gorgeous 1930/40s? Art Deco Carlton Ware hand painted "Australian design” Made in England, Teapot & Sugar Dish Set. . Convolvulus (morning glory) pattern. This would make a lovely gift for any collector, vintage or tea lover! A wonderful small tea pot and covered sugar dish from the Carlton Ware with a hand painted design from the 1935-1961 period. The 'Convolvulus' (Morning Glory) embossed design. Perfect for use or decorative. Carlton ware back stamp and the number is impressed on the bottom. Ceramic has a pinkish hue in its glaze. Raised embossed flowers on the front and a fern leaf on the back. Good vintage condition ** some crackling in the glaze, a small area on the side of the sugar bowl where the glaze looks cracked but has not come off, as seen in photo and inside the spout I can see a line that seems to be a mark in the glaze but I cannot feel a crack.
