Carved Statue Of Woman From Haiti by S. Valescot

A statue of a woman carrying a basket on her head while holding a bird in her right hand. It was made in Haiti by an artist named S. Valescot. The artist was detailed with folds in the woman's clothes, feathers of the bird and even her toenails all apparent. The statue is 19" tall and its base is 4 1/4" wide by 4" in depth.
