2 vintage white ceramic Tiki mugs. We offer three options for their use. 1. Admire them when you are not drinking a cocktail from them. 2. Drink a cocktail of them when you are not admiring them. 3. Drink a cocktail from them and admire them. The mugs are made in the form of a man and a woman in traditional Japanese clothes and with a fan in their hands. Mug Geisha - for Her. A woman covers her face with a fan, her hair is decorated with flowers. Judging by the inscription on the back of the mug, it was made for Suehiro at the Airport Inn (Japan). Approximately 6 1/4" (15.5 cm) high. Mug Japanese Aristocrat - for Him. The man is dressed in a traditional Japanese kimono and also has a fan in his hands. Approximately 6 1/2" (17 cm) high. Both mugs are in excellent condition and can be used for drinks. There are no chips or cracks, but there are small cracks in the lower layer of the glaze, which are visible only upon close inspection. The fan in Japan is a symbol of prosperity. When we open it, it resembles an opening flower. The wooden strips of the fan diverge in different directions from one point, it looks like different paths leading us through life after a single point of birth.
