Chokin Trinket Box | The Art of Chokin Japan | Mother's Day Gift For Mom or Wife

The engraved lid features a bird resting on a a tree branch. It's likely whistling as its beak is opened, and there are lovely flowers surrounding it. The ceramic is of a high quality and is likely porcelain, although I make no guarantees. The trinket box is 3.75" in diameter with the lid on, and 1.75" in height. It features 24K gold trim and is in very good condition, with some minor scratches on the lid. The Art of Chokin - The images were created by etching pure copper and then gilding it with silver and gold. The engravings were originally created to decorate the armament of the Samurai warriors. This art form was handed down for over 8 hundred years. The last 5 photos are of other trinket or candy dishes that are sold separately and are available in my closet.
