When Cinzia Araia launched the hand-made, deconstructed ankle wrap sneakers that came to be known as the Rabbit, back in 2013, a lot of dedicated sneakerheads and fashion bloggers lost their minds since they were so hard to find at first. Also, the fact that they were never released in men's sizing didn't help. This is definitely a unisex design, though, so if you're a dude with size 7 feet, you're in luck. I purchased my 1st 3 pairs of these iconic sneakers in size EU40 because that was all I could find, but eventually tracked down a couple of pairs in size 41. I can fit into these, but they're more snug than I like. They'll still fit a narrow women's size 9.5 or men's 7.5, but they are better suited to a women's 9/men's 7. Cinzia Araia has always had a fairly dystopian, gothy aesthetic, and this is the design that established her in this stylistic niche. There are many ways you can wrap the long ankle ties depending on the look you're going for, but no matter how you style them, they'll stand out from the crowd. They're incredibly comfortable, but if it's hot out, be forewarned that they feel like a snug boot on the foot and despite the fabric on the upper, the inside of the shoes are fully lined with glove-soft leather.
