Sterling silver 925 Claddagh ring purchased in Ireland. Marcasite gemstones on the heart, 3 in the crown and one in each side of the ring. Marcasite is said to be a gemstone used for powerful meditation. According to many beliefs, marcasite is a talisman associated with wisdom, courage and expression. A Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring in which a heart represents love, the crown stands for loyalty, and two clasped hands symbolize friendship. The design and customs associated with it originated in Claddagh, County Galway. Size on mandrel is 5 but I would say it’s a loose 5.
