This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the shoe at all. The leather interior and the leather exterior are in fantastic condition as clearly seen in the photos. The size is an 11.5 men's but would fit a 12. It measures 11.5" length with a tailor's tape measure from the inside of the toe end to the heel end. The sole are in incredible condition with not even any pebble markings. These classic timeless beauties are just incredible for any occasion from the office to a fine dinner date to a formal event.
