two hand-painted ceramic tiles by the artist Cleo Teissedre, known for her Native American and Southwestern-inspired designs.
The tile on the left features a stylized depiction of a Native American kachina-like mask with feathers, signed "Teissedre" at the bottom.
The tile on the right depicts a traditional adobe pueblo village scene, complete with ladders and a horno (outdoor oven), signed with what appears to be "© '82 Teissedre".
Cleo Teissedre was a self-taught artist based in Tucson, Arizona, who specialized in Native American arts, starting her designs around 1981 until her passing in 2000.
These kiln-fired tiles were designed to be versatile and could be used as coasters, trivets, or hung as wall decor.
