peppedup @sassafras19 & they say women are bad drivers- HA! Every time- & I mean every stinkin time a car rolls by me while I'm in the Middle of the road, stop sign held high, it's a dude. The women give me dirty looks for messing up their to the second schedule- but they stop by golly! Last week a dude came so close I could have booped his nose, this morning another just looked right at me when I yelled "Really???" right in his face- no oops-sorry-my bad... TGIF!

I have pretty good back up tho, we're city employees, work under the chief of police, he has patrol cars cruising as much as possible.. I admit to giggling at the 3-4 tickets I see being written some mornings ;)

elliejo503 @Right, the speed limit here is 5 mph in school zones and man the po po are right there....which is a good thing. I remember the neighbor lady hit a kid when I was a kid and it was terrible, just bad. Luckily no serious injuries and the kid was j walking. I was a crossing guard in 6th grade and got yelled at by a driver for stopping him to let 3 kids cross. I will never forget that! I used to take my stop sign and sing "STOP in the Name of Love" by Diana.....those were fun times!!

I am reassessing how I do stuff here too, with all the effort in packaging and stress of getting scammed, it's not worth it to sell stuff for less then 15-20$. Crazy thing, I raised my prices and started to get sales, what's up with that?

I was following who was following me, vetting their closet then sharing their closet.then I was kicking myself for all that work and sharing for nada. I'm an admitted over sharer but this was ridiculous. Had the same people notify me they were following daily with one share...knowing I would over share back. What happened to doing the right thing? Two of the biggest offenders was someone in my share Group!

savannah_slim Yeah, the one sharers, now if I am in my feed I just do the 1 share back to them as well, I try not to over share back anymore unless I know they share back as well. You would think over sharing would help, but it just seems to bring out share moochers! I find just self sharing my stuff to the whole feed a few times a day and then sharing the last parties HPs gets better share backs then going through my feed.

savannah_slim It is crazy, but I noticed the closets with a lot of sales have much higher prices, another thing I noticed was the mystery boxes they sell, like 3-4 items in a certain size, people seem to love them, and they don't even give a pic of the items or description...talk about an easy listing to make. I did a pre made bundle once of 2 tops and it sold quick, I think I will try more of those as well. U r right, has to be some easier ways, and I think we can find them!😍

sassafras19 @savannah_slim hmmm. Interesting. I used to subscribe to Boxycharm and Ipsy...makeup samples that they choose for you. Finally gave it up but it was fun, like opening Christmas gifts! I've wondered about those and if the buyer would be satisfied? II find something I like I look around for something to bundle it with. I think we need to find successful closets and do some digging. Is it presentation? A lot of product or less is more? I know some of it is name recognition.

savannah_slim Somehow I don't think a lot of people understand the whole bundle thing, and yeah, people mention it being like a Christmas present, I think they usually list the size and the brand(s) in the box. When I see a closet with interesting bundling or love notes given I'll tag you in them. I usually look at closets with a lot of followers and 100+ notes given, the party hosts and SU recommendations list is where I find those closets usually.

sassafras19 @savannah_slim what's your reaction to a never ending closet? I'm overwhelmed and leave. What draws your attention immediately? Mine is clean, uncluttered. Really dislike the notices that take up the first two rows. I was guilty. Too descriptive? Guilty. Not enough? Measurements? I do them to save time later. Color coordinated? Impressive but realistic? Lower bundle discounts? Outfits already put together like on mannequins at the store...how to wear it? We need to do some recon!

I don't know if this means anything other than trying to justify it to myself, but I had a great closet with fair, if not too low, priced items and I did over 100k shares, less than one day shipping and 5 stars. I just don't know what else I could have done. I just got sick of looking at the same things every day!

savannah_slim Yeah, I don't like when you can't realistically scroll through the whole available closet, and I hate when you can not decipher if a listing is for sale or what in it is for sale and when all those top listings are filler ( unless there is nothing for sale then okay). I noticed that the top closets have at most 2 lines of descriptions which made me stop spending all that time making them, same with title simplicity.

savannah_slim I usually only put measurements on pants inseams, and I think that putting other items in to give a style suggestion is good (as long as can tell what is for sale), but have also noticed people just posting the item folded with a cup of coffee or keys next to it and they sell like crazy. The bundle amount, I have 20% on 2+ which with the saved shipping can basically give you another item free and people don't seem to get/understand that, so who knows?

savannah_slim Somehow I don't think the average buyer reads much of the notices or descriptions and the simpler, grab you advertising is most effective...but finding that phrase/image is elusive to me. But I agree more investigation is needed. I think too low prices some people won't even look at, I think 'I just want to sell this' and they think 'oh they can't even give this away'.

savannah_slim With the sharing of other closets, not sure best strategy, right now I am going to the general feed and sharing items that were just self shared b/c I know that person is actively on there, I seem to get a fair amount out of that and when I self share, so right now I am doing that plus the closets I know, which one already has a good sharing history with. He told me all about using your slipper, he teared up a bit while relating it, and said that's when he knew you were lovely and he just had to stay. Perhaps an impromptu visit might be in order as winter comes in. It can be awfully harsh for a squirrel.

savannah_slim Well I recommend he visit us in Alabama on the farm, the squirrels there are much more laid back, in fact there was one in our sweet gum tree just dropped over a limb with legs dangling off the sides for hours, I thought he had died up there so we got the water hose to get him down, blasted the little sucker 3 times before he woke up. Talk about no stress, we put so much food out for the ducks, geese, birds, that the squirrels have it made🐿👑

Now I just send out my party lists b/c I feel bad to the Poshers I tag as they always thank me😬 once in the wheel hard to get out. When we finally sell this house I will be so busy will have to bow out. We will be undergoing a major renovation then that will probably take a few years, but I will have better picture taking facilities so will concentrate on listing all my stuff then.

savannah_slim Haha, can't wait to be able to travel for fun instead of obligations. Though most people wouldn't call hoofing it on nature trails and digging for fossils fun, but it is what we live for, I soooo want to hit up the Dakotas, almost made it 7 years ago on a road trip west (last vacation we took) but it started snowing in Wyoming and even I don't think camping in that weather fun!

sassafras19 @savannah_slim That sounds like a GREAT way to spend your time! My husband and I love history! And I find fossils fascinating. It's my dream to go to Egypt and, if nothing else, take days to go through the museums. I'm in awe of Dr. Hawass, former director of Antiquities! We turned our cable a few years ago and the only things I miss are the History, Nat Geo, NatGeo Wild, and the Military History channels. Lucky you! And yes, I agree! Camping in snow is no way to camp! That's hotel weather!

savannah_slim We never had cable till 3 years ago (got it here for when my mom would stay with us) and let me tell you, you are not missing anything, history channel has devolved into ancient aliens and "historical" (I use that term loosely) reenactments, the Smithsonian channel is the only one that occasionally doesn't use some type of spin. I do like TCM for movies from the 30s and 40s. Got my minor in anthropology and archeologist was my dream job, well at least I have insight, sniff.😢

Then it either goes off, to Andy Griffith or Big Bang Theory.I do, sooooometimes, watch the Justice channel. The stupid things people are willing to go to jail for is simply amazing. Going to jail has always been one of my irrational fears. I've never been involved in anything that would even remotely get me there...just fear. Little girls like me dot do well in prison! 😳

An acquaintance (small town you know everyone) from my husbands HS always was getting in trouble, he had the option of jail vs community service, chose jail saying it was nice to just lounge around and that he wasn't picking up trash on the side of the road...what!?!?

sassafras19 @savannah_slim Yep, that's the attitude anymore. Why work? Work? What's that? My daughter has been in and out of jail multiple times and violated her probation every time. It was like a girls club! They braided each other's hair, bought KoolAid to use as lip stain...unbelievable! She has mental health problems and is noncompliant with her meds. But there's no fear there.

sassafras19 @savannah_slim When Reagan closed the state mental health facilities our homeless, drug addicted, mental health issues and crime all skyrocketed. They literally just put these folks on the street and said See ya later. No support systems in place, no idea how to get an appt to GET a support system. These poor folks figured out that if you say you're suicidal or homicidal with a plan that it gets you off the street for 72 hours. But...then it begins all over. Very sad.

The mental illness goes untreated, if you're elderly you have to decide what to get...food or medicine? Cat food and noodles and I'm not even kidding you. I could preach all day, especially about how we take care of or rather don't take care of our elderly.

It's so difficult to show a house with all your personal belongings there but, unless you rent a pod or something, there's no choice. They say bake cookies just before the open house and leave them out. Makes folks feel warm and homey and they look at your house differently. Makes sense to me, anyway!

sassafras19 @savannah_slim A few more tests. They found enlarged lymph nodes in my chest, inadvertently. I see a Pulmonary doc next Thursday so hopefully can get this part over! I'm ready! Yes, we miss him, too but he's where he needs to be! He loves it there! savannah_slim @sassafras19 Wow, YOU can't get a break! One goes looking for one thing and finds 5 other things🤕, hope it all gets resolved soon. Those storms went through here, the farm, and Tampa, but all the tornados , although close, missed us. We lost a really old oak tree at the farm and it knocked one of our wildlife feeders down, but otherwise no damage. Yeah, I call the 3 places our Bermuda Triangle b/c of all the constant crazy weather!🌪👀

The pictures were horrible and some lost everything, including loved ones. It's been so crazy...not a typical winter at all. We usually have mounds of snow on either side of the drive by this time. We've had one measurable snow. That's it. It's cold, tho!

He says Aren't you embarrassed to open the front door with that on? This old thing? Of course not! I stay cold as we have baseboard electric on a slab. It's never warm in here. I wear my house slippers every day, too!

Might be mistaken for a bag lady wearing all her worldly goods! Ohhh, maybe you wouldn't get any strange looks at Walmart! I'm not an air conditioner person, either but it's good when it's so humid. Makes my bones hurt. I'm too young for that!

savannah_slim @sassafras19 I can't stand cold air blowing on my bare skin, I will turn on the a/c in the car if hot and then put a long sleeved shirt/hoodie on, my husbands like, if it's cold just turn it off! He marvels at all my many rituals, but I tell you, there are nuances to everything😊

sassafras19 @savannah_slim We're exactly the same about a/c! I do the same thing! That's what I meant about making my bones hurt! It really does really hurt! I take a sweater or cardigan everywhere I go, even if it's 80 degrees! I have them in every color, length and weight! I kept a blanket at my work desk. This summer it was so humid the air was on all the time. I wore sweats and socks all summer...looked like a nut at the mailbox! 🙊🙊

sassafras19 @savannah_slim But of course! And there are toe socks in case you're wearing flip flops! I will usually take another pair of shoes and socks when I'm wearing sandals or flips. Always prepared for a/c and cooler night weather. We always go to a 4th of July party that's blister hot during the day but when it gets dark I change into pants, sweatshirt, tennies with socks and a jacket. Then I go sit by the bonfire! Better prepared than cold.

The recommendation is to focus on your news feed for people that are active and are actively sharing. Goal is 500 shares a day/accumulate as many new Poshers as you can and share your own closet 3-5 times a day.Think I'm going to try this. If you are continuing to tag for follow games YOU will be the only one I'm following!

savannah_slim @sassafras19 We only yesterday officiall signed the sale, I asked the agent if we wouldnt end up not knowing if the sale was for sure until the day we were to move out, she said of course not...well wouldnt you know it, glad we proactively moved everything! Now cleaning, unfinished wood is the hardest thing to remove cobwebs from, thankfully we made everything including the ceilings out of it...hang me now!!!

savannah_slim @sassafras19 Haha, just imagine 10 years of muddy red clay trecked in by kids and dogs, sliding doors left open for days and NOBODY ( seriously, they all admitted it when we shut the place down to visitors for this reno & cleaning) cleaned once. Its pretty bad, thankfully we have a small studio pool house, equally as dirty but sealed, and the last 2 days I scrubbed every square inch and it is a sparkly clean haven now :-)

savannah_slim @sassafras19 I know, I get a real feeling of accomplishment after cleaning too, I feel like one doesnt really see results in a lot of the things we do these days, but my ultimate favorite thing to do is laundry :-) The house and pool house overlook a 35 acre spring fed lake and there is also a smaller 15 acre lake we share with a neighbor, for big water Eufaula lake is 45 min away, and lake Martin north of us, we do have lots of water in Alabama!

savannah_slim @sassafras19 Deal! I guarantee I will be done with any amount of laundry way before the wall washing is complete. The farm is 100 acres and we are about a mile from the road and 15 miles from town, the closest neighbors are on the smaller lake we share with them, but it is a vacation home and someone mowing the lawn once a week is all we ever hear over there. We are surrounded by hunting land and pine tree farms, least populated county in the state and #'s go down every year😄.
