Cool super soft pure wool 1970s wave design shag/hand- hooked rug - 71 x 42 inch

This lovely 1970s pure Shetland wool rug is incredibly soft and pliable. It features a wonderful wave design in orange, a sort of dark currant red, dark brown, lighter brown and cream. It works well on the floor, or slung over furniture or even as wall art. I purchased it several years ago in Ontario from the artist who created it in the 70s. She said at the time that it was the first rug she and her husband had in their home after getting married. :) This rug measures 71 inches long and 42 inches wide and is in very good condition, soft silky wool, no balding or matting, no stains. I did, however, have it slung over an armchair in a bedroom and this is a cat-friendly house - although I've done my best to remove any cat hair, you may find that there are some still - if you are allergic to cats or bothered by cat hairs, please do not consider purchasing this rug. This rug was cleaned with a lanolin-based wool detergent and is clean and fresh. Wool rugs such as they are easy to maintain as they can be hand-washed in the bathtub and air dried on a sunny day. Also, although I've done my best to remove it, there is a bit of lint visible against the darker shades and you may want to use a de-fuzzer on it.
