Coronation Cup Queen Elizabeth II Keele Street Pottery KSP Beige June 2nd 1953 H.M. Queen Elizabeth II Made in England Ceramic
Beautiful commemorative cup from the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II on June 2, 1953, in pale tan or beige. Reminiscent of Sylvac pottery.
The front has a portrait of Elizabeth, with a laurel wreath, and the date June 2nd, 1953, and the back features the initials E II R and the crown, with a thistle, shamrock, English rose, and a daffodil.
Bottom is incised England, and a barely visible KSP.
No cracks or crazing. There is one pinhead-sized unglazed flaw on the bottom edge, as shown. I believe this is a manufacturing flaw, not a chip, as I’ve had another copy of this mug with an almost identical flaw.
Measures approximately 3" (7.62cm) tall, and 3.25" (8.23cm) in diameter across widest point.
