Crop Fox Fur Fringe Jacket

I am guessing this piece began as a large men's hip length leather coat, circa 1960 or so. The leather was such a beautiful shade of dark chestnut leaning into the nubuck finish of suede that I could not resist despite the fact that it's condition was not great. It had definitely been loved & lived in. With the exception of some quite major wear at the elbows and a shredded lining it was still in great shape though. My first intention was to replace the lining. But then I got to thinking that if I down sized it, I could probably get rid of most of the damage. I had a choice to make. Fringe crop jacket & place reinforced damage leather into the sleeves at a position that is unnoticeable. Or just a crop jacket, no damage, no fringe. The fringe of course won. It was the right choice. It's a solid little jacket with an epic vintage patina to it. It's old & new at the same time. It garners compliments from strangers every time I pull it out.
