Known as the Gwinnett Stripers today, the Gwinnett Braves were one of few MiLB teams to share the same name as their big league affiliates (think the Dunedin Blue Jays or the St. Lucie Mets), said pro club being the Atlanta Braves. A triple-A member of the International League, the Braves played their first game in 2009 and went nine more years until changing their name. They’ve clinched two division titles in their young history, both times being in 2016 and 2018.
