Custom Painted Vintage Leather Jacket

I sourced a number of vintage jackets of varying styles and cuts (sadly not as many sizes as I would like, but I'm working on that!), all with different ideas in mind as to what I wanted to do with them. There are still a number sitting on my rack that will be waiting until Fall, but I wanted to start with the brown bomber jacket and this moto-style leather. ⁠ ⁠This project in particular came together quickly between my current custom work: the Deathshead moth has featured in a number of my projects over the past year - its become a bit of a go-to subject for me - but I had yet to incorporate it into an artwear piece! ⁠ I did a very rough draft of what I wanted the back piece to look like, and in the end I'm very happy that I stuck with a crisp white and the compliment of white paint splatter: it made the iridescent paint from @alpha6paint - a blend of Opal and Oceana - stand out even more!⁠ The entire jacket was completed with hand-sewn tassels with conchos to give it that extra flashy detail. I had purchased conchos and had a lot of fringe left over from earlier projects, and this ended up being the best way to bring them together!⁠ (Sizing laid flat) ⁠Shoulders - 15.5” Sleeves - 21” Chest - 17.5” Length - 20” Best fits Women XS/S
