This great vintage piece was purchased by a friend's brother, back in the early 70s (perhaps inspired in part by the coats worn by Richard Rowntree as PI Shaft in the 70s film? see last picture). It has great lacing detail on the lapels, pockets, back and turned-back cuffs. There is a back slit for ease of movement. The grain and tobacco colour have become more distinctive with age. The coat has a nice dark quilt lining, which adds extra warmth. Though lovingly worn for some time, the coat is in very good condition, with no holes, tears, splits or obvious stains in the leather. There is some wear of the lining at the armpits, as shown.
Please note that this is a small coat, actually probably XS for women and XXS for men. The model is about 5'6" and of petite build. Some measurements: length down the back from top of collar -34"; chest when buttoned - 33"; arm from shoulder -23"; arm from armpit -18".
Cross listed in Men's and Women's markets.
