Cute vintage leather clutch repair/repurpose

Sweet vintage clutch. Nice closing hardware. Has some issues. No makers marks. Holes for a potential strap or chain (not included) Holes on front are from when I used it and kept a big sterling onyx pin on it for embellishment. please see photos for the best description. photos with phone and glasses are to show for size.
