It was an item I got from a friend who worked at Barneys I used his discount but believe me it’s WAY cheaper then what I paid I’m SHOCKED no one scooped it immediately as it could be reasonably (like $20 or less) professionally altered to fit so many sizes.

@audrinafla that’s how it works though . Keep in mind when selling any used items that any profit is a profit, and you do get money from this. It adds up, believe me, just don’t shoot your self in the foot EVER!! Like, if someone makes you an offer, counter if it’s too low. Gently remind them that posh takes 20%. Encouraging them to bundle does help bc it increases the profit margin for one shipping cost.

@audrinafla I had someone offer me (and my prices are always so low) $12 for a pair of $200 VINTAGE DESIGNER ITALIAN SUNNIES from the 70s. I paid $30 for them plus I bought a QUAY Australia case to sell with it. I countered at $27 which was my best and she did not respond, so I said oh well, sometimes you have to wait for the right buyer. Glad I did bc I was offered $28 on Sunday. I didn’t make a profit, but that’s ok.

@audrinafla Almost all of my Posh shop is just that it’s not a closet… I buy my items strictly to resell on here the only time you should be worried, is when it seems like someone is buying something to resell it for more on their page. Otherwise yes it does all add up I would stay away from E🅱️🅰️Y but definitely check out Merc!

@audrinafla well, that’s different. I’m referring to someone who’d lowball you just to see if you’d accept then they turn around and resell it. Plenty of ppl source on posh (like myself but I don’t do it at thrift stores....my fam has a buyers license so I shop in designer and big brand distributors in NYC) so if they score finds and resell them then there’s staging, time, packing etc. they deserve to make a profit for all of that. That’s how I make my profit.

I don’t blame you about the pups too. My doggie was Doberman and service dog so I brought her everywhere too .... still haven’t got another dog since she passed in august it’s so traumatic. Russell got her for me Christmas of 2007 😔

@acoop9987 live shows are not easy, they really do take a lot of work to set up and break down. I’m in the midst of completely redoing my shop and I do my lives from there, so it’s been really hard to list all my new items and find time to finish the redo. I have a ton of blank listings for shows but I like having real listings for people to refer to especially for bags that cost thousands!! Last night was the first time anyone ran my items. Other times they said yes and then didn’t do it.

@acoop9987 I’m happy to run a few for you tomorrow night! Last Monday I didn’t have more then 20 people but I did very well. One fabulous woman wanted the Vuitton city steamer but posh doesn’t allow affirm payment through auction so she purchased after the show.
Week before I had over 50, so you never know. It’s all about the right buyers and even if they don’t purchase during the show they may come check out your Posh afterwards and buy from you !!!

My friend and I agreed in saying these shows are “predatory” … there is no monitoring from Poshmark regarding authenticity of luxury under $500 and people can list anything with a “this is a listing for a posh show”. Flagrant disregard for people’s money. Sellers who don’t know the correct information on items they are selling, tons of misinformation.

I’m even one of eight Poshmark verified luxury resellers, so I’m highly invested in this community. I always prefer to purchase off of my fellow sellers. All she had to do was say hey brilliant delights you might have to change your payment? The right thing to do would’ve been to re-run the item, for me, for the same price I won it for.

Boii, She was So KINDand So Nice. She bought Listing right away with no problems. Just Simple Communication Back and fourth and It was Perfect. See I Dont have More than 10 pple in My Show. So Maybe I Dont know much about that anyway since I'm Just starting out. but I Just HOPE and Pray That Never Happens to You Or Anyone who is TRUE.

You know, it was a gift for one of my friends I didn’t really need to buy it, I do love to support fellow sellers over big corporate as much as I can. I’ve been doing shows for eight months on Poshmark, and I would never have done that to anyone. In fact, I like to run my items for my lowest price and sometimes I just reserve them for someone.

@ashleykevinx69 wow I would’ve had a heart attack too… 20 items? Most people though, are ready to pay. In fact, I haven’t encountered anybody except I think one time that a payment failed and she didn’t come back and it was just for a bag charm. I haven’t done a show in I think a week and a half? I took a little break so I could get my over 500 items listed lol.

My posh is a hot mess right now between the random price drops I did Sunday night and me moving things around for live shows it hurts my eyes to look at it. It used to be grouped, divided and organized… by color. Hard when I have over 900 listings to keep it that way!!

Is tomorrow’s Luxury, or just “Luxe”? I have tons of designer neutrals, but I think I’m down to just 1 Luxury listing (& Pucci is DEF not neutral 🤣). Thanks though!
