DECO SILVERPLATE SERVER - CELLULOID HANDLES

This is a handsome 1930's vintage silverplate service piece from Oneida. It stands on four small legs, and has a pair of slim bar handles on each side made of an ivory colored cellloid with a subtle stripe in curved silverplate supports . A circle of laurel-leaf cut-outs run around the body, giving the design a sleek art-deco look that fits beautifully with modern food service. The server measures 9 inches in diameter - exactly the right size to hold a standard pie dish. The celluloid is in excellent condition, as is the silverplate, which has a full liquid shine and shows little if any evidence of use. Marked '1881 Rogers' & 'Canada'.
